[LYRICS] Tigerweather - Sunshine

Today's the day you won't catch me in bed
Cause the sun says good morning with some bacon and eggs
And I'm out the house faster than a fire escape cause today
Wont wait up for me no
I'm walkin taller than I thought I could
I'm feelin proper like a three piece suit
A distinguished gentleman who forgot his shoes but I
Don't have a care in the world
I'll let tomorrow worry about its self

I got fresh air to breathe in
I got sunshine on my skin
So many places Ive never been
what say today we visit them
I make excuses all the time
Reasons why to stay inside
But not a one comes to mind
I'm gonna make today mine

Well I'm addicted to a couple of things
Like the smell of cut grass and every smile I see
Don't have my hands in my pockets
Cause I'm huggin everything in my way
Cause I'm so in love with life
Ya And when love is contagious
There's no such thing as separation or strangers
Warning I'm on love overload danger
Cause I
I just can't get enough

I got fresh air to breathe in
I got sunshine on my skin
So many places Ive never been
What say today we visit them
I make excuses all the time
Reasons why to stay inside
But not a one comes to mind
I'm gonna make today mine

Mine all mine
I'm shakin off the past like I'm dacin im movin my feet
I'm doin my best to turn this place into one big
Gigantic dance party well

I'm gonna move I'm gonna celebrate
I might be gettin older but the kid in me stays
Yeah staying young's got nothin to do with your age
Yeah stayin young's got nothin to do with your age

I got fresh air to breathe in
I got sunshine on my skin
So many places Ive never been
What say today we visit them
I make excuses all the time
Reasons why to stay inside
But not a one comes to mind
I'm gonna make today mine

Thank God for Brighter Mornings

I just wanted to put this into writing... because.. I am just so happy! To receive his smile. What a great way to start the day! I arrived way too early for work today and well.. I'm glad I did. I had a few nice early surprises and I hope this day goes on just as smoothly. Good morning! Just a week more 'til Christmas! ツ

I'd like to give you a smile too.

I'm just in the process of finding the courage to do so.

[LYRICS] Sara Bareilles - Brave

You can be amazing
You can turn a phrase into a weapon or a drug
You can be the outcast
Or be the backlash of somebody’s lack of love
Or you can start speaking up
Nothing’s gonna hurt you the way that words do
When they settle ‘neath your skin
Kept on the inside and no sunlight
Sometimes a shadow wins
But I wonder what would happen if you

Say what you wanna say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave

With what you want to say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave

I just wanna see you
I just wanna see you
I just wanna see you
I wanna see you be brave

I just wanna see you
I just wanna see you
I just wanna see you
I wanna see you be brave

Everybody’s been there,
Everybody’s been stared down by the enemy
Fallen for the fear
And done some disappearing,
Bow down to the mighty
Don’t run, just stop holding your tongue
Maybe there’s a way out of the cage where you live
Maybe one of these days you can let the light in
Show me how big your brave is

Say what you wanna say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave

With what you want to say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave

And since your history of silence
Won’t do you any good,
Did you think it would?
Let your words be anything but empty
Why don’t you tell them the truth?

Say what you wanna say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave

With what you want to say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave

One Day

One day, I'm going to pack my bags and call a taxi cab.

I'm going to the airport, excited and full of hope.

I'm going somewhere I've never been before.

I'm going to experience a culture different from what I grew up with.

I'm going to look at the world from a different angle.

TEAHEE: A Hidden Tea Place

MHIYD Finale and Yong Hwa's Choice

Just two days ago, Jung Yong Hwa's drama, Choice of Future (also Marry Him If You Dare), aired its last episode. Honestly, I haven't been watching the drama but I'm relying on Klaritia's recaps for each episode. So I am in a way updated.

This drama seemed like an answer to all Emotional Angels' appeal - for Yong Hwa to finally go back to acting. I remember the whole debacle that took place when it was announced way back that Yong Hwa will be joining Heirs then later on withdrew from the project unexpectedly. It was chaotic. It sparked a lot of "emotions" from his fans all over the world. And I'm quite sure that it affected Yong Hwa more than his fans.

But then another opportunity knocked on Yong's acting door and he accepted it gratefully. Choice of Future. A melodrama that ran for 16 episodes.

What happened?

It all started promising. The characters were interesting. Each one has something to offer, some mystery to fascinate the viewer. And the story was intriguing. Your future self going back in time to prevent you from making the "wrong" choices you're supposed to make. Re-arranging your life for you.

But what happened?

The storyline moved from intriguing and interesting to blah and confusing.

Why was it so miserable?
Why is Mi Rae so undecided?
Why can't Se Joo un-like Mi Rae when she clearly doesn't want him?
Why is Kim Shin such a coward?
Why is Yoo Kyung getting less and less air time?
Why have such a very open-ended finale?
Who did Mi Rae choose in the end?
Was it Se Joo?
Or Kim Shin?
Who knows?

Apparently, it's a SECRET.

What happens to Yong Hwa now?

I mean, did he gain anything from doing this drama?

I have to commend Yong Hwa on his acting because he really did improve a lot. Maybe the drama ended disappointingly but Yong's improvement in acting was enough to make up for it.

His character wasn't the usual quiet, let-me-wait-here-silently-in-the-shadows-until-you-realize-you-love-me second lead guy. Nor the I'm-too-cool-to-move-or-talk-or-even-smile-so-let-me-sleep-in-class-or-even-in-the-library rockstar student.

In here, he's more animated. He's actually a tad annoying in some scenes. But he's showing a variety of emotions. And it did him good. He improved. And that was more than enough for me. And LOL. He was always drinking.

They were saying most of Yong's dramas don't do good in the ratings. And Choice of Future, apparently, is another addition to that list. The storyline. It has to be because of that. The actors were really good. But the story went downhill. Just my opinion.

I'm hoping that after this, Yong Hwa will focus on music and composing once again. I knew of Yong Hwa because of his acting in You're Beautiful. But I fell in love with him because of his music. Whatever his decision is, though, I'll keep on supporting him anyway.

Month of Cheers

Together and Forever

The real test of friendship is can you literally do nothing with the other person? Can you enjoy those moments of life that are utterly simple?
The best thing that happened to me when I changed work was meeting my current friends. It was not an instant attraction. It took me almost a week before I got to talk to them. About a month before I began to open up to them. But it was all worth it. I feel so blessed by God to have met such really good people.

I grew up not having real friends. I prefer to be alone, to be on my own. And for some reason, people just don't find me interesting. I was the bullied kid in grade school. They say high school has the best memories of your childhood. Apparently, that does not apply to me as well. College life was good to me. I met nice people. I found a few friends but stayed friends with only about less than half of them.

Then I went on to find work. My first job was a challenge. I was alone. I've never felt so alone in my life. Even when I was a kid. So you can just imagine how hard it was to get through the entire day hearing other people talking, having fun behind you while you're there sitting alone. I know. It sounded miserable.

So when I decided to leave my job, it was like a breathe of relief. Finally. And now, working with my second company turned out to be a really good decision. I met people who share the same interests as mine. People who are simple. People who I can get along with really well. It was a gift from God.

These four ladies made my life ten times more fun and exciting. Interesting. Simple. Sensible. I wouldn't mind having them four as my friends for the rest of my life. What a big cheese ball~!!! LOL. But honestly, I'm just so happy. That even after losing my only sister, 'cause she married unexpectedly early, God gifted me four more sisters.

It's like we can never get tired of each other. We can go on talking for hours and never get bored. It's weird. This friendship seems so real. So sincere. And I can never be too grateful for it.

K-Movie: Miracle in Cell No. 7

Two days ago, a colleague of mine came to work with puffy eyes. Like she did some major crying last night. And true enough, she indeed cried hard but not because of some personal problems. It was because of the Korean movie Miracle in Cell No. 7.

She eagerly gave us a copy of the movie the next day and made sure that we watch it when we get home later that same day. And so I did. And boy, did I have some cry-fest on my own as well.

The adorable casts (L-R): Park Shin Hye, Kal So Won, Ryu Seung Ryong

Miracle in Cell No. 7 (Hangul: 7번방의 선물; RR: 7beonbangui Seonmul; lit. "A Gift from Room 7") is a 2013 South Korean film starring Ryu Seung Ryong and Park Shin Hye. The film is a heartwarming comedy and family melodrama about a mentally challenged man wrongfully imprisoned for murder who builds friendships with the hardened criminals in his cell, and they help him see his daughter again by breaking her in.

When I started watching it, I'm preparing myself to hold back my tears. I'm thinking maybe my friend was just easily moved to tears. Maybe the movie wouldn't be that touching. But after making it to just about 30 minutes of the movie, I was crying like it's nobody's business.

These guys brought me laughter and tears. Such great actors.

I adore movies like this. It's so heartwarming, touching. The script was well-written. And the actors portrayed their characters so well. You can't help but admire such wonderful art. And Park Shin Hye never disappoints. I didn't even know before that she'll be in this movie.

The love of a father for his daughter.

The love between the father and his daughter is so great, it's overwhelming. I was so emotional the whole movie.

Such great father-daughter love made me miss my own father more.

I highly, highly recommend you watch Miracle in Cell No. 7. It's a great movie with equally great actors. And I promise you, you won't regret every single tear you'll be shedding for this film. ☺

Of Girls Generation and Demi Lovato

Just now, while listening to my new Demi Lovato playlist, I came across the song Mistake from her Unbroken album. And I was thinking, this song sounds familiar

It turns out, the Demi Lovato's Mistake has the same melody as that of Girls Generation's Japanese single, Born To Be A Lady. Really. Go and listen for yourselves.

It's too similar I thought for a while that Mistake was the English version of Born To Be A Lady.

Park Se Joo and Seo Yoo Kyung are Perfect for Each Other

I haven't been watching Marry Him If You Dare lately but I've been keeping myself updated through klaritia's recaps. Oh and the screen caps there are amazing!

And as much as I'm rooting for Mi Rae-Se Joo couple when this drama started, right now I am having second thoughts. Scratch that. I am definitely CHANGED. Seriously, Seo Yoo Kyung is too adorable! And I am transforming transformed into a Se Joo-Yoo Kyung fan.

picture taken from klaritia.wordpress
Come on, Se Joo! Why can you not see the perfect girl in front of you? Instead of doing whatever for Mi Rae and in the end getting shove aside by Kim Shin, why don't you just focus on Seo Yoo Kyung??

picture taken from klaritia.wordpress
From the beginning, I thought Yoo Kyung is going to be that arrogant, bitchy, I'm-so-gorgeous-I-can-get-all-the-guys-I-want-so-worship-me kind of girl. But apparently, I was wrong. The scene that had me fall for her character (figuratively, of course) was when she was waiting so long for Se Joo in the bar and was about to leave when he suddenly appeared. Her trying to regain composure and self-control was all too funny and cute. It was an "awwww" moment for me, really.

And then everything that she does after that is just too nice and cute and oh-so-perfect for Se Joo! Honestly, this is the only drama I've encountered where I am more interested with the second leads rather than the mains.

Anyway, if you're craving for some Se Joo perfection, check out these two favorite sites of mine:

http://parkseju.tk/ - This website is like overflowing with goodies!! Initially, a Park Se Joo blog, it's slowly becoming a SeKyung blog (the author even acknowledges it) and I am not complaining at all! I love everything here. Seriously, go here and indulge.

http://klaritia.wordpress.com/ - This is where I get updates of Se Joo's life episode per episode. It's a blog dedicated to Jung Yong Hwa. It's perfect~ Go here and fall in love with Yong Hwa and Se Joo more and more.
